Using the FAR Effectively: A Course for Contractors

July 18-19, 2007

9:00-4:00pm

“The Federal Acquisition Regulations System is established for the certification and publication of uniform policies and procedures for acquisition by all executive agencies.”

Take a pro-active problem avoidance approach to service contracting in the Federal Government…understand the rules of the game!   In its fourth edition, the FAR sets forth guidelines and implementing instructions for the federal government’s acquisition of supplies, services and data.  More than $300 billion spent annually and 43% of that on services.

Your customer is required to follow the FAR guidelines and implementing instructions.  The FAR has the force and effect of law.  Your customers and successful contractors know and understand the FAR and agency supplements. Shouldn’t you?

This dynamic 2-day program provides attendees a clear understanding of the FAR and agency supplements.  You will receive a copy of the current FAR to supplement your learning and to provide real-time reference material.   A sample services contract will serve as a case study to demonstrate the application of the FAR in the context of a federal procurement contract.
